Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Safe Shepherd (“the Service”), operated by Safe Shepherd LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Safe Shepherd is a privacy protection service. We scan data broker and people-search websites for your exposed personal information, submit removal (opt-out) requests on your behalf, verify that removals are completed, and monitor for re-appearances. We act as your authorized agent for privacy removal requests under applicable state and federal laws.

You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You may only create one account per person. You agree to provide truthful personal information for scanning purposes — submitting false information to broker sites is prohibited.

Safe Shepherd offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. Prices are displayed at the time of purchase and may change with 30 days advance notice. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your dashboard or by contacting support@safeshepherd.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds are issued for unused time. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for new paid subscriptions.

We guarantee that we will scan the data broker sites listed in your plan, submit removal requests where your data is found, and verify removal completion. We do not guarantee that every broker will honor every removal request, as each broker sets its own policies. Some brokers may take days or weeks to process removals. Some data may reappear after removal — this is why we provide ongoing monitoring.

Safe Shepherd does not provide legal advice. We do not remove content from social media, news articles, court records, government databases, or websites that are not data brokers or people-search sites. We do not guarantee removal of information from the internet entirely — only from the specific broker sites we monitor.

You agree to: provide accurate personal information for scanning, not use the Service for unlawful purposes, not attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service, not create accounts on behalf of other people without their explicit written consent, and not reverse-engineer or scrape the Service.

The Service, including its design, code, content, and documentation, is owned by Safe Shepherd LLC. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any part of the Service. Your personal data remains yours — we claim no ownership of the information you provide.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any losses resulting from temporary unavailability.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Safe Shepherd LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Safe Shepherd LLC and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that could harm us or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will delete your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Puerto Rico.
